Day Travel Wednesday 15 March 2012
7.45am Same as the day before we left early for another volcano craters called Kawah Putih just to avoid congestion. Journey took us about 2 hours. The scenery along the journey was beautiful as the area was surrounded by few mountains. Village activities was mainly agricultural where plantations can be seen everywhere even in a frontyard of everyhouse.
9.45am Reached the kawah putih. Another freezing moments here as the area was still surrounded by fog and not to mentioned strong wind. Unlike Tangkuban Perahu, there were no peddlers at this place and we did enjoy our moments peacefully. It was not an active volcano and the craters has transformed into a lake. A few photo and video shots and thats it, headed back. Bought a fresh strawberry at market near the entrance before we hit the road again.
11.00am The journey return to Bandung city was rather quick one. We straight went to Pasar Baru. The trafic to this place was heavily congested at this hour. Even the car park was virtually full. We ended parking almost to the top floor of the 6th storey building. Again the place was crowded with malaysians. Nothing much spended here, I did bought 2 sets of kain baju melayu which was quite cheap there, looking at its quality. Had a delicious ayam penyet & jus durian belanda for lunch there. After solat zohor, we left the place.
3.30pm Arrived at Rumah Mode at Jalan Setiabudi, more shopping.
6.30pm Went to Jalan Riau again, dropped at The Secret FO. Nothing interesting. Then to the FO opposite of the road, Rich&Famous FO. I found this FO to be one of FO that offer many selections of apparell beside Rumah Mode, Cascade, Blossom, & Central Brand Outlet. A worthy FO to check out, I think.
7.30pm Repeated our shopping spree at Cascade, a quick one. Then The Stamp FO pulak.
8.30pm Again, specifically requested by Irsyad, we had our dinner at McDonald at Jalan Setiabudi. These places seems very close to each other if you travel at night, thus shorter time.
9.00pm Reached the hotel, we thanked our supir for his excellence services and paid him some tips as a token of appreciation. Thank you again to Pak Puwardi from Mulia Rental.

Bandung Trip Report Day 2
Travel Day Tuesday 13 March 2012
7.30am As planned, left the hotel with the rented vehicles for Mulia Rental, a Toyota Avanza. We were lucky as our supir Pak Puwardi was a nice and cheerful guy. The destination was the famous Tangkuban Perahu, a volcanoe crater not far from the town. It was the Cipaganti road to Setiabudi then the Sukajadi and further uphill, straight to the crater
8.30am We were amongst the early batch to reached the summit as the parking place was almost empty. Still we were greeted with the infamous 'The Pirates of Tangkuban Perahu' peddler, who tried their luck to get us buying their stuffs such as sourvenirs, sweaters, hats etc. The weather was cold, wet and windy. As told by the supir, it was normal here but lucky the conditions improved later on.
9.30am The place was crowded with visitors as well as the peddlers, we decided to leave the place. Journey uphill and downhill were quite interesting as we saw how the bandung people lives as well as the colour of their lifes.
11.00am Reached Jalan Dago, the starting point of our second phase shopping activities. First, we went to Grande Fashion Gallery then to Jetset FO and ended with Blossom Family Outlet. We had our lunch at one of the cafe there ( can't remember the name but its Nasi Timbel was good). Soon after, went to the House of Donatello. Don't get confused as it is not a fashion boutique but merely an outlet selling leather products.
2.00pm Headed to Saung Angklung Udjo at Jalan Padasuka. Reached there at 2.30pm but the next performance was only started at 3.30pm, so we went to the musolla there for solat Zohor and Asar(jamak) first and hung around the place to kill time. The 2 hours performance was damn excellence, and surely will be remembered for the rest of my life.
5.30pm Time to leave the place, we headed to Jalan Ahmad Yani where the famous jeans store, Toko Tiga located. The place was crowded with malaysian and the jeans price there was definitely cheaper by 50% compared to here in Malaysia, at least. Bought two pairs of original Levi's jeans at a price of Rp400k each (RM120 equiv) there. By the time we decided to leave, it was already 730pm...pheww, two hours spent just to buy them?
8.00pm Continued the shopping spree at Jalan Riau pulak. Went to The Secret FO, Rich & Famous FO but nothing interesting there. Asked our Supir to go to Heritage and Cascade nearby. By the time we got into Cascade, they were announcing their closing time in fifteen minutes and before we know, they already closed the door and we were the last persons to leave the place...hehehe!
9.10pm Had a dinner at KFC nearby, specifically request by Irsyad.
9.40pm Reached the hotel room ......tired and exhausted.
